Extra Details:
APP is a single-pass, Type I cell membrane protein that rapidly becomes internalized via clathrin-coated pits. During maturation, the immature APP (N-glycosylated in the endoplasmic reticulum) moves to the Golgi complex where complete maturation occurs (O- glycosylated and sulfated). After alphasecretase cleavage, soluble APP is released into the extracellular space and the C- terminal is internalized to endosomes and lysosomes. Some APP accumulates in secretory transport vesicles leaving the late Golgi compartment and returns to the cell surface. GammaCTF(59) peptide is located to both the cytoplasm and nuclei of neurons. It can be translocated to the nucleus through association with Fe65. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10-20ug/ml Western Blot: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human brain paraffin sections Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
