- Albumin is a stable small polypeptide with a strong antigenicity. Its molecular weight is about 69000. It has a high mobility in electrophoresis, shows macro-heterogeneity especially under pathological conditions and it can bind a large number of physiological and non-physiological molecules. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:12000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Horseradish Peroxidase Enriched for isoenzyme C: RZ= 3.2 Enzyme/IgG Protein Molar Ratio (E/P): ~1.7 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
