- Extra Details:
- AS160 is an 160kD Akt substrate that plays a critical role in regulating insulin-stimulated exocytosis of glucose transporter GLUT4. AS160 contains a Rab GTPase-activating protein domain (GAP), suggesting its potential role in membrane trafficking. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 detected AS160 (Rab-GAP) in RIPA lysates from 3T3/L1 cells differentiated into adipocytes by MDI treatment. Also detects AS160 (Rab-GAP) in HEK293 lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: MDI-treated 3T3/L1 cell lysates Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
