Extra Details:: ASM-1 represents an excellent marker for myogenic soft tissue tumors and smooth muscle differentiation. Polypeptide reacting: specific for a-smooth-muscle isoform of actin (Mr 43,000). Tumors specificallly detected: leiomyosarcoma, leiomyoma, certain stromal cells surrounding infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry . Other application not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue requires protease treatment): 1:100 with PBS, pH 7.4 Incubation Time 1 hr at RT; extended with paraffin. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
