- Extra Details:
- Actin is a highly conserved skeletal protein which is in both muscle and nonmuscle cells. The mammalian tissues express at least 6 unique actin isotypes. Alpha isotype is found exclusively in muscle cells including alpha-skeletal, alpha-cardiac, and alpha and gamma smooth muscle actin. Beta and gamma nonmuscular actins have been observed in non-muscle cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:800 for 20 minutes at RT. No special pretreatment is required for the immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Smooth muscle or leiomyosarcoma Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
