- Alpha-1 acid glycoprotein (AGP), also known as orosomucoid-1, is an acute phase protein secreted by the liver. Serum AGP levels are elevated during inflammatory responses. AGP binds a wide range of molecules in the circulation. Human and mouse AGP share 43% amino acid sequence identity. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 2ug/ml using human liver tissue and human plasma Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml using immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human liver Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C.
