- Extra Details:
- ABCG2, also called MXR, BCRP or ABCP, is highly overexpressed in several drug-resistant cell lines and localizes predominantly to the plasma membrane (Rocchi, E. et al., 2000, Biochem. Biophys. Res. Commun. 271:42-46). ABCG2 has also been shown to be expressed at relatively high levels in human hematopoietic stem cells (CD34+, CD38-) and to drop sharply in committed progenitors (CD34+/CD38+) (Scharenberg, C.W. et al., 2002, Blood 99:507-512). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells in human MCF-7 cell line Immunocytochemistry: 5-25ug/ml detects ABCG2 in immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cell line Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
