Ankaflavin is structurally closely related to monascin. Ankaflavin has cytotoxic, immunosuppressive, hypolipidemic and antiinflammatory properties. Source: Penicillium sp. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
