- Brolucizumab Biosimilar uses the same protein sequences as the therapeutic antibody brolucizumab. Brolucizumab is a monoclonal antibody indicated to treat neovascular age related macular degeneration. Brolucizumab is a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor which targets the major VEGF-A isoforms: VEGF110, VEGF121, and VEGF165. Inhibition of these VEGF-A isoforms reduce proliferation of endothelial cells, vascularization of the tissue, and permeability of the vasculature. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Neutralization, Functional Assays such as bioanalytical PK and ADA assays, and those assays for studying biological pathways affected by Brolucizumab. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
