- Extra Details:
- GroEL and GroES are E. coli chaperonins, which are homologs of mitochondrial chaperonins Hsp60 and Hsp10. GroEL is a double toriodal assembly of 14 identical subunits which form two heptameric rings stacked back-to-back, with a cavity at each end. GroEL and its co-chaperonin GroES facilitate protein folding with an ATP-dependent mechanism. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:10,000, ECL Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
