Extra Details:: The mouse IgG2c antibody is produced in certain inbred strains such as C57BL/6, C57BL/10, SJL, and NOD, which does express the mouse IgG2a antibody, and vice versa. If one uses any of the mouse strains for animal research, it is better to use the IgG2c antibodies rather than the IgG2a antibodies. There are more and more IgG antibody formats with Fc engineered. The format with the Fc silenced, Fc silent, or Fcs with silenced effector function is the most popular. Thus, the wild type mouse IgG2c isotype control and the Fc silenced mouse IgG2c isotype control mutants should be used in such an application. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and in vivo animal model research. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen/paraffin sections Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
