Extra Details:: The Epilepsy, progressive myoclonus type 2A protein (EPM2A) is a dual-specificity phosphatase that associates with polyribosomes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with myoclonic epilepsy of Lafora. EPM2A interacts with a number of proteins known to be involved in glycogen metabolism and has been shown to have robust phosphatase activity against a phosphorylated complex carbohydrate, suggesting that EPM2A may be involved in the regulation of glycogen metabolism. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: SW480 Cell Lysate Molecular Weight: ~36kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
