Extra Details:: BMP15, or GDF9B is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein family which is part of the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily that are involved in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis. BMP15 is expressed exclusively in the oocyte. It is an oocyte-specific growth/differentiation factor that may be involved in oocyte maturation and follicular development. Defects in BMP15 are the cause of ovarian dysgenesis type 2. BMP15 could be used as an oogenesis marker to track human amniotic fluid stem cells differentiation into the oocyte-like cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml immunocytochemistry: 2.5ug/ml Immunofluorescence: 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Testis Tissue Lysate, 3T3/BALB Cell Slide Molecular Weight: ~45kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
