- Extra Details:
- The proto-oncogene Bcl-3, believed to be involved in certain human B cell leukemias, encodes a protein that contributes to the regulation of transcriptional activation of NF-kappa-B target genes. BCL3 contains seven ankyrin repeats, which are most closely related to those found in I-kappa-B proteins. The expression of this gene can be induced by NF-kappa-B, which forms a part of the autoregulatory loop that controls the nuclear residence of p50 NF-kappa-B. It contributes to the regulation of cell proliferation. A chromosomal aberration involving BCL3 may be a cause of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HEK293 Cell Lysate Molecular Weight: ~50kD (predicted) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
