- AGR2 (anterior gradient protein 2) and AGR3 are members of the anterior gradient homolog family. They are secreted cytoplasmic proteins which are involved in metastasis induction and p53 tumor supressor inhibition. They may serve as molecular markers and potential therapeutic targets for hormone-responsive breast tumors. AGR2 is ubiquitously expressed with upregulated expression in prostate cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, renal carcinomas and endometrial carcinomas. AGR2 expression is positively correlated with that of the estrogen receptor (ER) and is negatively correlated with that of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: paraffin Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: HeLa Cell Lysate, Human Small Intestine Tissue Slide Molecular Weight: ~19kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
