- Extra Details:
- Plays a role in nuclear translocation of the viral pre-integration complex (PIC), thus is required for the virus to infect non-dividing cells. Targets specific host proteins for degradation by the 26S proteasome. Acts by associating with the cellular CUL4A-DDB1 E3 ligase complex through direct interaction with host VPRPB/DCAF-1. This change in the E3 ligase substrate specificity results in the degradation of host SAMHD1. In turn, SAMHD1 depletion allows viral replication in host myeloid cells by preventing SAMHD1-mediated hydrolysis of intracellular dNTPs necessary for reverse transcription (By similarity). Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
