Extra Details:: Ca(2+)-dependent actin filament-severing protein that is presumed to have a regulatory function in exocytosis by affecting the organization of the microfilament network underneath the plasma membrane. In vitro, also has barbed end capping and nucleating activities in the presence of Ca(2+). Regulates chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation. MAP kinases p38 and ERK1/2 mediate the adseverin-induced accelerated differentiation of nonhypertrophic chondrocytes (By similarity). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
