Extra Details:: Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) antizyme protein that negatively regulates ODC activity and intracellular polyamine biosynthesis and uptake by binding to ODC1 without promoting its degradation (PubMed:17900240). Stabilizes AZIN2 by interfering with its ubiquitination. Involved in the translocation of AZNI2 from ERGolgi intermediate compartment (ERGIC) to the cytosol. Probably plays a key role in spermatogenesis by regulating the intracellular concentration of polyamines in haploid germ cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
