Extra Details:: Plays a major role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space, through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity. May form permselective paracellular pores; isoform 1 appears to create pores preferentially permeable to cations and isoform 2 for anions. Plays a key role in controlling cation selectivity and transport in the thick ascending limb (TAL) of Henle's loop in kidney. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:5000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:20-1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
