- Rabbit interleukin-13 is an immunoregulatory cytokine produced by activated T helper type 2 (Th2) cells. IL-13 induces the expression of 15-lipoxygenase and leads to production of vasodilatory eicosanoids (Tang et al. 2003). Rabbits exposed to IL-13 showed increased airway hyperresponsiveness and inflammation (Josephson et al. 2012). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1.0-5.0ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
