- Extra Details:
- Immunoglobulin Y is the predominant immunoglobulin found in birds. It is also found in high concentration in chicken egg yolks. IgY has some functional similarities to IgG and IgE, but there are structural and some functional differences, such as the inability of IgY to activate complement or to bind protein A or G. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:2500-1:250,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
