Extra Details:: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to TNF alpha. Manufactured using Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the therapeutic antibody cA2 (Infliximab). Infliximab, also known as Remicade, is a chimeric IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody approved for the treatment of psoriasis, Crohn's disease, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis. This therapeutic antibody is directed against TNF alpha and acts by blocking the binding of TNF alpha to its receptors, resulting in a down-regulation of the inflammatory response associated with autoimmune diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Application Note: 516776 can be used to detect and neutralize human TNF alpha. Unlike Adalimumab (516778), Infliximab does not bind to mouse TNF alpha (Arnoult 2017, PMID: 28584008). Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
