Extra Details:: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to P-glycoprotein. Manufactured using Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma MRK16. P-glycoprotein is encoded by the MDR1 (ABCB1) gene. It is a member of the ABC superfamily of ATP-binding cassette transporters. Expression of P-glycoprotein is associated with ATP-dependent transmembrane efflux of chemically diverse compounds from the cell. It is the major component of multidrug resistance in human tumors. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
