Extra Details:: Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Bax (active monomer). Manufactured using Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma 6A7. Bax is a 21kD protein that has extensive amino acid homology with Bcl-2. It forms homodimers or heterodimer with Bcl-2 and the apoptotic activity depends on the balance of both molecules. Over expression of Bax accelerates programmed cell death induced by apoptotic stimulus. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
