Extra Details:: IDS, also known asiduronate 2-sulfatase isoform, is a member of the highly conserved sulfatase family of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of O-sulfate and N-salfate esters from a varity of substrates. This protein is required for the lysosomal degradation of the glycosaminoglycans (GAG) heparan sulfate and dermatan sulfate. It hydrolyzes the 2-sulfate group of the IDS units of the GAG. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
