- May activate or repress transcription via interactions with sequence specific DNA-binding proteins. Repression may be mediated at least in part by histone deacetylase activity (HDAC activity). Acts as a corepressor and in concert with CRY1, represses the transcription of the core circadian clock component PER2. Preferentially binds to dimethylated histone H3 'Lys-9' (H3K9me2) on the PER2 promoter. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
