- Extra Details:
- VMP1 is a stress-induced protein that, when overexpressed, promotes formation of intracellular vacuoles followed by cell death. It may be involved in the cytoplasmic vacuolization of acinar cells during the early stage of acute pancreatitis. And it plays a role in the initial stages of the autophagic process through its interaction with BECN1 (By similarity). It involved in cell-cell adhesion. It plays an essential role in formation of cell junctions. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
