- TRIM28 mediates transcriptional control by interaction with the Kruppel-associated box repression domain found in many transcription factors. TRIM28 localizes to the nucleus and is thought to associate with specific chromatin regions. It is a member of the tripartite motif family. This tripartite motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING,a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein encoded by this gene mediates transcriptional control by interaction with the Kruppel-associated box repression domain found in many transcription factors. The protein localizes to the nucleus and is thought to associate with specific chromatin regions. The protein is a member of the tripartite motif family. This tripartite motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
