- Extra Details:
- Tram2 is necessary for collagen type I synthesis. It may couple the activity of the ER Ca2+ pump SERCA2B with the activity of the translocon. This coupling may increase the local Ca2+ concentration at the site of collagen synthesis, and a high Ca2+ concentration may be necessary for the function of molecular chaperones involved in collagen folding. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
