- Extra Details:
- The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear import receptor for serine/arginine-rich (SR) proteins such as the splicing factors SFRS1 and SFRS2. The encoded protein has also been shown to be involved in HIV-1 infection, apparently through interaction with the HIV-1 capsid protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms as well as a noncoding transcript have been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
