Extra Details:: TDRD9 is a probable ATP-binding RNA helicase which plays a central role during spermatogenesis by repressing transposable elements and prevent their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. TDRD9 acts via the piRNA metabolic process, which mediates the repression of transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes composed of piRNAs and Piwi proteins and govern the methylation and subsequent repression of transposons. Its association with PIWIL4 and the piP-bodies suggests a participation in the secondary piRNAs metabolic process. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
