- Although the function of this gene is not known, its existence is supported by mRNA and EST data. The predicted gene product contains a region similar to the STAR-related lipid transfer (START) domain, which is often present in proteins involved in the cell signaling mediated by lipid binding. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, although some transcripts occur only in cancer cell lines. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
