- SEC23B is a member of the SEC23 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family, which is involved in vesicle trafficking. SEC23B has similarity to yeast Sec23p component of COPII. COPII is the coat protein complex responsible for vesicle budding from the ER. The function SEC23B has been implicated in cargo selection and concentration.The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SEC23 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family, which is involved in vesicle trafficking. The function of this gene product has been implicated in cargo selection and concentration. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
