- LTB4DH functions as 15-oxo-prostaglandin 13-reductase and acts on 15-oxo-PGE1, 15-oxo-PGE2 and 15-oxo-PGE2-alpha. It has no activity towards PGE1, PGE2 and PGE2-alpha. LTB4DH catalyzes the conversion of leukotriene B4 into its biologically less active metabolite, 12-oxo-leukotriene B4. This is an initial and key step of metabolic inactivation of leukotriene B4. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
