Extra Details:: Prom1 binds cholesterol in cholesterol-containing plasma membrane microdomains. It is rroposed to play a role in apical plasma membrane organization of epithelial cells. During early during retinal development, Prom1 acts as a key regulator of disk morphogenesis. Prom1 is involved in regulation of MAPK and Akt signaling pathways. In neuroblastoma cells suppresses cell differentiation such as neurite outgrowth in a RET-dependent manner. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
