Involved in the constitutive silencing of the interferon beta promoter, independently of the virus-induced signals, and in the inhibition of the basal and cytokine-induced iNOS promoter activity. Also involved in the regulation of IL-8 transcriptionThis gene encodes a transcription factor that interacts with specific negative regulatory elements (NREs) to mediate transcriptional repression of certain NK-kappa-B-responsive genes. The protein localizes predominantly to the nucleolus with a small fraction found in the nucleoplasm and cytoplasm. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
