- This gene encodes a protein highly similar to the mouse MAP6 domain containing 1 protein, which is related to the STOP proteins. Based on the study of the mouse protein, the encoded protein may function as a calmodulin-regulated neuronal protein that binds and stabilizes microtubules but also associates with the Golgi membranes through N-terminal palmitoylation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
