Extra Details:: This gene was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation of transcription by estrogen is mediated by estrogen receptor, which binds to the estrogen-responsive element found in the 5'-flanking region of this gene. The encoded protein is a tumor-associated antigen that is expressed at high frequency in a variety of cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A pseudogene of this gene has been defined on chromosome 10. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
