- DVL2 is a member of the dishevelled (dsh) protein family. It is a 90kD protein that undergoes posttranslational phosphorylation to form a 95kD cytoplasmic protein, which may play a role in the signal transduction pathway mediated by multiple Wnt proteins. The mechanisms of dishevelled function in Wnt signaling are likely to be conserved among metazoans. This gene encodes a member of the dishevelled (dsh) protein family. The vertebrate dsh proteins have approximately 40% aa sequence similarity with Drosophila dsh. This gene encodes a 90kD protein that undergoes posttranslational phosphorylation to form a 95kD cytoplasmic protein, which may play a role in the signal transduction pathway mediated by multiple Wnt proteins. The mechanisms of dishevelled function in Wnt signaling are likely to be conserved among metazoans. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
