- Extra Details:
- Methadone is a synthetic opioid, used medically as an analgesic and a maintenance anti-addictive for use in patients on opioids. Although chemically unlike morphine or heroin, methadone also acts on the opioid receptors and thus produces many of the same effects. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Lateral Flow. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. IEF Profile: 6.6-7.6 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
