Extra Details:: PPP3CA, also known as Calcineurin A, is a major soluble calmodulin binding protein in the brain, a Ca2+/calmodulin dependent serine/threonine protein phosphatase, with a relatively narrow substrate specificity. It activates the T cells of the immune system and can be blocked by drugs. PPP3CA activates NFATc, a transcription factor by dephosphorylating it. The activated NFATc is then translocated into the nucleus, where it upregulates the expression of interleukin 2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
