Extra Details:: Sodium Orthovanadate is an inhibitor of several phosphatases and kinases. General inhibitor of tyrosine phosphatases, a large family of enzymes that catalyze the removal of phosphate groups from tyrosine residues. Sodium orthovandate suppresses the activation of p53-mediated apoptosis triggered in response to radiation. It reduces the detrimental effects of hematopoietic syndrome, hematopoiesis and delayed genotoxic effects of induced by total body irradiation of mice. In combination with menadione, orthovandate prevents the migration of detached human glioma cells in response to anti-cancer drugs.
