- 17-Phenyl-trinor-prostaglandin E2 is a synthetic analog of PGE2 and an agonist at the EP1 and EP3 receptor. Prostaglandin E2(PGE2) regulates neuroinflammatory responses and is upregulated in brain injury by cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) and membrane-bound PGE synthase. 17-Phenyl-trinor-prostaglandin E2 can be used to investigate inflammatory signaling pathways.
