Extra Details:: Apoptosis Antagonizing Transcription Factor (AATF), also known as Che-1, is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein. Research indicates that AATF functions as a general inhibitor of the histone deacetylase HDAC1. It has been also demonstrated that AATF activates transcription factor E2F and that it is involved in the activation of anti-apoptotic pathways. AATF has been shown to protect neural cells against oxidative damage suggesting it may have therapeutic uses in Alzheimer's Disease. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
