- Extra Details:
- STUB1 (STIP1 homology and U-Box containing protein 1), also known as CHIP (C-terminal of HSC70-Interacting Protein), is a human gene. This gene encodes a protein containing tetratricopeptide repeat and a U-box that functions as a ubiquitin ligase/cochaperone. The encoded protein binds to and ubiquitinates shock cognate 71kD protein (Hspa8) and DNA polymerase beta (Polb), among other targets. Mutations in this gene cause spinocerebellar ataxia, autosomal recessive 16. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Direct): 0.1-0.5ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 0.5-1ug/ml. Requires HIER using 10mm sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 for 20 minutes is required for staining of formalin/parffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
