Extra Details:: A 30.38kD pleiotropic pro-inflammatory cytokine belonging to the IL-1 superfamily. It is secreted by activated macrophages and monocytes and is involved in the modulation of a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. IL-1 Alpha and the closely related IL-1 Beta, are both involved in haematopoiesis and exhibit many identical immunomodulatory properties, binding to the same type I interleukin-1 receptor, also known as CD121a. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
