- In humans the CD27 antigen is expressed by discrete populations of T- and B-cells where it functions in a co-stimulatory role to induce proliferation of T-cells and B-cells, however studies undertaken using the CD27 have been unable to detect expression of CD27 on porcine B-cells. Studies in humans have demonstrated CD27 to be involved in apoptosis, research in swine has shown that porcine CD27 is expressed by all naïve CD8a-ve T-helper cells and a sub-population of CD8a+ve cells. Monoclonal antibodies to CD27 have previously been used to differentiate between subsets of NK cells and research utilizing CD27 has shown that this monoclonal antibody may be used to differentiate between subsets of porcine NK cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
