- CD16 is a low affiniity activatory receptor which interacts preferentially with mouse IgG1, IgG2a and IgG2b immune complexes and is involved in various effector functions including phagocytosis, NK antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity and the release of inflammatory mediators. In mice, CD16 is expressed on macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, myeloid precursors and subpopulations of T lymphocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:10 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NS-1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from rat. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
