Extra Details:: CD11c is a receptor for fibrinogen recognizing the G-P-R motif in fibrinogen. It is involved in the cell to cell interaction during inflammatory responses. In addition, it has an important function in adhesion and chemotaxis in monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells (DCs). In cattle, CD11c+ DCs are a source of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 during infection by the highly pathogenic foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). IL-10 may be responsible for the reduction in the antigen processing ability of DCs during FMDV infection. CD11c reacts with bovine CD11c+ macrophages, DCs and some lymphocytes as shown by IHC and flow cytometry. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat 1:10 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
