Extra Details:: 6-nitrotryptophan is a major nitrated product of tryptophan residues in proteins reacted with reactive nitrogen species (RNS) (1). Superoxide (O2-) and nitric oxide (NO) react to form peroxynitrous acid, which subsequently nitrates tryptophan residues, modulating protein functions (2). Tryptophan residues are more likely to be nitrated when the indole ring is exposed to the surface of proteins (1). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, ELISA and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunocytochemistry (IC-IF): 1:50 ELISA: 1:1000 Flow Cytometry: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
